Welcome to the Scents of July
Garden Tour 2006 - July 15

The "Scents of July" is a fund raising activity initiated by residents of the Lincoln Park Historic District in Danville, Illinois, to aid in the restoration of The Lamon House, a Greek Revival Cottage built in 1850.

July 15th several homes and gardens will be available for you to tour on
the "Scents of July" garden walk.  The tour runs from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.  As visitors walk through the Lincoln Park Historic District, 4 homes and 6 gardens will be showcased.  Visitors will be presented with a handout at each garden describing various plantings in the garden and information about the home.

Carriage rides will be available to enhance your nostalgic visit to the Lincoln Park Historic District.

During the "Scents of July" 2003 and 2004 garden walk, visitors walked through
the Lincoln Park Historic District viewing beautiful gardens and homes graciously opened by their owners; while artists from the Danville Art League were painting in some of the gardens and members of the Danville Barbershoppers and Danville Light Opera were performing in others.
